We attended Dementia Action Week 21st May 2018

Two of our Broadland View Care Home residents were very pleased to be able to meet the Lord Mayor of  Norwich on the 21^st of May .  We were kindly invited to join the Norwich City Dementia Action Alliance groups by Kelly who supports the home through “Friend in Deed”.  The groups, including Age UK, Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia Friendly Norwich, all joined forces to take part in Dementia Action week 2018 .

As part of the Friend in Deed project we have regular little visitors to the home and Pat and Barbara were very pleased to see two of our visitors Daisy and Poppy .

Barbara was also given the opportunity to have her first ever game of ping pong and proved to be a natural!  We are always trying to improve the well-being of our residents and will get a net and some bats to enable all of our residents to have a game of ping pong soon.

PS. That’s our Registered Manager, Sharon, playing against Barbara and secretly she was a bit too competitive!
