From son of resident.
“I just wanted to say thanks for all the attention, care and love you gave my mum in the last months of her life. From the first moment I brought her to Broadland View I felt it is such as warm and loving home and over the weeks, when I visited mum, that feeling grew. All the staff are so caring and loving. I would often arrive to find mum with a carer beside her giving her a kiss on the cheek! So thank you all SO much – you are all lovely and really caring.”
From a friend of a resident.
“The staff are very caring and attentive. My friend seems very well cared for and is always clean and tidy. The home has undergone a refurbishment and is looking lovely. We are happy that my friend is in such a lovely place.”
From the wife of a resident.
“My husband is always clean and tidy and seems happy. No agency staff. Nice and clean.”
From the son of resident.
“My mother came to Broadland View in February under difficult circumstances for her. The home welcomed her (with a card and present) and coped magnificently with her problem. She was lovingly cared for right up to the end.
After it’s recent refurbishment the home is in tip-top condition. A very big thank you to the manager and all the staff on behalf of all our family.”
From a relative of a resident.
“The atmosphere is lovely. I like their rooms they arrange lots of activities including poetry reading which is wonderful. I have recommended the home to several people. My second cousin looks well cared for.”
From the brother in law of a resident.
“My sister-in-law has lived in Norwich since 1997, a very independent lady living on her own. She was adamant that she would never want to go into a care home. When, last September, she was admitted to hospital they wouldn’t let her go back home, and Social Services recommended Broadland View, which I was happy to accept.
To our delight, Jill has settled in wonderfully well. Far from hankering after her flat in Norwich, she told me in November, during my second visit, ‘I’m alright as long as I can stay here’! She often says the staff are very kind and she enjoys her food. For someone who has been something of a loner all her life, the amount she interacts in conversation with staff and the other residents has been a pleasant surprise. She is much happier and more peaceful, and it would be fair to say that I am happier and more peaceful too, knowing she is contented in a safe and friendly environment.
My sister-in-law’s forthright behaviour, rudeness at times, is challenging. Your staff have always coped with this in a good natured way. I look forward to my visits and enjoy joining in the action. I visit quite a few care homes in the Epsom area where I live. For friendliness and warmth, Broadland View comes out top. She has had several health issues while she has been there, and they have been dealt with very satisfactorily.
Please thank all your staff for being so caring. Adam, Maria and Irma have all been a pleasure to meet.”
From the sister of a resident.
“The staff and carers are very friendly giving Broadland View a lovely atmosphere.”
From the son of a resident.
“Dad has been a resident now for over 15 months. He has received excellent care since day one. I have been very pleased with all aspects of his care, which has meant so much to myself and my brother. It has taken a lot of stress and worry away from us and it is now a pleasure to see him so happy.”
From the son of a resident.
“The care my mother receives from the care home staff at Broadland View is outstanding, the staff are very helpful and friendly. I couldn’t be more impressed, all round it is an excellent care home.”
From the son of a resident.
“I am very impressed with changes being made, it shows respect shown to residents.
From the daughter of a resident.
“My mother’s care has been very good. Now with poorer health, needs more care, one to one nursing when moved around, needs help with food. Staff very good, they work very hard and care.”
From the husband of a resident.
“My wife has been a resident at Broadland view for about 18 months, She appears to be well settled and content there. She is allowed maximum freedom to wander around the home commensurate with her safety. There is a good family atmosphere and the staff are totally dedicated in and very caring. They obviously all get on well together, which is important for the residents well being. A new manager has recently been appointed and she now has already introduced a number of improvements, such as regular chiropody and manicure sessions and an enhanced programme of activities and entertainment.”
