Hi Sharon and Adam,
It’s just over a month since my mum came to stay with you.
When she came to Broadband View she slept most of the time, was unresponsive to things around her, wasn’t mobile and had a very poor appetite. She was also quite stubborn at times making it hard for my brother and the carers who went into her, help her get up, be washed and get dressed etc.
During the last few weeks there has been such a change in her. She is now more alert taking notice of things going on around her, awake most of the time and sometimes even have a few words to say. She seems happy and content and am told eating quite well.
It was a very difficult decision to make to put her in your care and there are times now I feel we’ve abandoned her but I know she is in the best place for her. I know she is safe and being well cared for. The staff I have met on my visits are caring, patient and very dedicated people.
I liked Broadland View when I looked round as it was very homely, small and personal. The last thing I wanted for mum was to go into an ‘institution’.
I would like to thank you all for looking after my mum so well and the support you have given me.
Many thanks
Kathryn
